Help us get *all* of Touched by an Angel on DVD!!!

Did you enjoy watching "Fear Not!" this Christmas?

Did you grin goofily when Andrew first appeared in "The One That Got Away"?

Did you cry during "The Journalist"?

Did you *really* grin goofily during "My Dinner with Andrew" because there were *two* utterly attractive AODs on the                     screen?

And did you sigh sadly as Andrew walked off into the woods during "Beautiful Dreamer"?

Wait...  You haven't seen "Beautiful Dreamer" is a long time have you?  Nor "Psalm 151."  Have you virtually forgotten that Andrew chopped his hair off?

That's because Season 5 of "Touched by an Angel" is *still* not on DVD!  And Seasons 6 through 9?  You're stuck with old VHSes and, if you're really lucky, the Hallmark Channel there, too.  We'll we're tired of waiting!  We hope you'll join JABB in our campaign to get the remaining seasons of "Touched by an Angel" on DVD.  Please look over the ideas below.  If you have others, please let us know!

First, some guidelines:

1.  Be polite and enthusiastic.  We want these companies to *want* to listen to us.

2.  Avoid abbreviations.  Obviously, we know what TBAA and AOD stand for.  The person reading your email/letter may not.  Spell it out.

3.  Do not complain about the prices of the DVD sets, packaging, whatever.  It could make it sound like you won't, in the end, buy the DVDs.

4.  Referring to episodes and specific elements of the show is great!  It shows you truly love this show.  But get the main point across right away: you want these seasons on DVD.

5.  Put "Touched by an Angel Season 5 DVDs" or something similar in your email subject line.  Even if the recipient doesn't actually read your email, they'll at least know there's interest.  (Thanks, Nicole, for suggesting this.)

6.  If you hear back, let us know!

Now... who to contact:

1.  Paramount Home Video, who releases the DVDs, can be reached at
PHE_CustomerService@Paramount.com

Their snail mail address is:
5555 Melrose Ave.

United States

2.  Viacom- This is the company that owns Paramount.  You can find a contact form for them here:
http://www.viacom.com/contact/Pages/default.aspx

Snail mail:
Viacom Inc.
1515 Broadway
New York, New York 10036

3.  The CBS Store- Go here:
http://cbs.seenon.com/info.php

Then under Customer Support choose "Product Suggestions."

4.  CBS.com- Their Feedback form is here:
http://www.cbs.com/info/user_services/fb_global_form.php

Since TBAA is no longer listed, I chose "Other" when I sent my comment.

Snail mail:
CBS Television Network

5.  Amazon.com-  I've heard that Amazon reports to companies what yet-to-be-released items are being "watched."  I don't know if that's true but it takes very little time so why not sign up to be notified?

6.  Email Martha Williamson's blog: info@atouchofencouragement.com

Perhaps if enough of us ask, she'll let us know what the situation is.  (Thanks again, Nicole, for the suggestion.)

7.  Nicole also suggested contacting the folks here:
http://www.usaweekend.com/mail/ask_all.html#whosnews

8.  My local paper also runs a syndicated entertainment column wherein people write in and ask about DVD releases of films and TV shows.  Check to see if your paper has one and contact them, too!
