Please note this fiction archive
is only for the work of JABB members. I do not have the time nor
the resources to house fiction for everyone. However, if you are
a JABB member then I'd love to provide a space for your John Dye
filmography related work.
Please note, though, that I do have some
restrictions. They are as follows:
1. While each member
is entitled to their own opinions, I will not publicize or provide web
space for any TBAA “shipper” fiction. I am opposed to such
stories and as onthisside.net is funded by me, I cannot in good
conscience post such stories here. Also sketchy are human/angel
romance stories. Those will be addressed by yours truly on a case
by case basis.
2. Absolutely no
stories featuring real people (except historical figures) will be
accepted. That means no currently living or recently deceased
actors, musicians, etc. If you have a question about who
constitutes a historical, and thus acceptable, figure; please contact
me.
Please note this does not
mean references to actors and musicians are disallowed. Having a
character say “So I was listening to my Harry Connick Jr. CD and…” is
okay. Having Mr. Connick interact with characters in your story
is not.
An exception might be if
you’re writing a story that expands upon a TBAA episode that featured a
real person (i.e. Celine Dion in “Psalm 151.”) That sort of thing
would need to be considered on a case by case basis.
3. Material should not
go above a PG-13 level for inclusion here.
4. Nothing libelous,
that seeks profit, that promotes hatred of any person or group, that
seeks to incite violence or other crimes, or seeks to harm any
individual or group will be considered.
5. Nothing that could
be seriously construed as the promulgation of rumors about John Dye or
any TBAA cast member or really anyone will be considered for
inclusion. Neither will anything that could be perceived as an
invasion of privacy.
6. Please do not ever
send me anything for inclusion with some sort of deadline. I will
upload your work as I have time. No sooner. I will also not
be happy with people pestering me to upload another author's work with
in a certain space of time.
7. Only completed stories will be added. If your work is
part of a series then I don't need the entire series all at once.
But I will not post individual stories until I have their complete
versions.
8. At this time I am unavailable to proofread or edit
stories.
9. As stated above,
onthisside.net is funded by moi. As a result, I have to feel
morally justified about everything that goes on here. Any
decision I make is final. They are plenty of fiction submission
sites, blogging sites, etc. where you can post whatever you like.
But JABB is not one of those places. You have a right to freedom
of expression but I have a right to operate my web space as I so desire.
Thank you.
