Angelic Promises

A Touched By An Angel Story

By: Yvette Jessen

This is actually a story that was taken from a bunch of other stories, which I have written. It's written in a make believe chat room entitled 'Angelic Promises' which actually comes from my original story 'A Stranger's Love'. If you've read a number of my stories, then you will understand the entire concept of this, if not, write me and I will be happy to send the individual stories along. I will be including myself in the dialogues, so if you happen see the name 'YvaJ' then you will know that that is the author of this piece. The angels will carry their own names, to save on any confusion. There are three parts, and though the angels may / may not always be present, they will be a defining theme to this story. Each of the stories depicted has it's own color-coding on the names so that you will be able to identify where the characters originated.

I hope you enjoy this rather unorthodox story, it has no plot, but it does talk about how the angels helped the characters and is rather unique in that aspect.

Red--The Christina series, which is (up to now) the 10 stories centered on one young woman.

Blue--Striving to Understand

Green--A Stranger's Love

Orange--Starving for Acceptance

Emerald Green--The Role Reversal & Depicting Reality

Pink--Recycled Dreams & A New Day Dawning

Light Blue--In the Name of Love

Dark Red--The angels, Tess, Monica, Adam, and Andrew.

Hot Pink--Yvette, the author of this piece, and the only real person here.

*****

The room is empty

Christina Lowery enters 'Angelic Promises', but at the same time, David Norman has come in.

Christina--hello, I didn't think anyone would be here this evening.

David--Yeah, well, I'm here, though I don't know why. My friend Sandra told me that this room was actually pretty cool to visit, so I thought that I would give it a try and see who all is here.

Christina--My husband suggested that I come here; he was working late during the past weeks and was online for a while.

(Inna enters 'Angelic Promises')

Inna--Hi.

Christina--Hello, Inna. Are you new to this channel?

Inna--Actually, no, I'm not. I came here some time ago back when I was suicidal, but after I moved to Salt Lake City, I haven't been back since, but I did talk to someone here who helped me a lot and decided to just come by and see if there is anything going on.

David--If they kept you from suicide, then I'd say that's pretty cool. Have you guys ever watched 'Angelic Promises'?

Christina--Actually, I haven't, but if you want to know the truth, I've heard that it could be a pretty accurate depiction of reality.

(YvaJ enters 'Angelic Promises')

YvaJ--Hey folks, I heard there was a lot of excitement on this channel the other night.

Christina--What kind of excitement?

David--Yeah, what?

YvaJ--I heard that there was a guy here named Andrew, and he really stirred up some trouble. He was pretty cool, but the chat got way out of hand for a while there. I had to leave when it got late.

Inna--Andrew was here?

YvaJ--Yeah, he was.

Christina--I wonder why he would hang around a chat room on the Internet.

Inna--Maybe he was looking to help other people like he helped me.

David--That's weird because a guy named Andrew helped me when my grandfather died some time ago. I wonder if it could have been the same guy.

Christina--One of my best friends is named Andrew.

YvaJ--I guess I'd better get going, I have some things to do and it's late.

(YvaJ leaves 'Angelic Promises')

Inna--Wouldn't it be strange if the guy I met was the same one you met, David?

David--I don't see how that could be, I mean, how many people do you know of with the same name. It's got to be coincidence.

Christina--I don't know, let me ask you guys a question. Was there something unusual about Andrew that you can recall? My friend Andrew is pretty unique.

Inna--There was something unique about him, after I tried to kill myself, he was there for me, sat by my bed the entire time and talked to me.

(Nancy enters 'Angelic Promises')

Nancy--I was told I should come here and ask if anyone here knows about this guy I know named Andrew.

David--Hold the phone, something weird is going on. I mean, how is it that we all know someone named Andrew? OK, if you guys are keen on keeping secrets, fine, but my dad and I aren't, so I'll just out and ask. Is it possible that the Andrew you guys are referring to is an Angel of Death?

Christina--Yes.

Inna--Then it is the same person. It's got to be. I can't believe it, but it's true.

Nancy--Yeah, it's weird, we're all strangers and yet we share something in common, we all know Andrew and he's helped us.

(Tess enters 'Angelic Promises')

Christina--Hello Tess, welcome to our little corner of Cyberspace.

Tess--I can't believe that Angel Boy talked me into actually coming and sitting in this room. I have nothing against you all, but I really hate computers.

Nancy--Didn't you get just a little bit curious about it, Tess?

Tess--No, of course not, Andrew wanted to come back tonight, but he's on duty. Something about a 100-year-old man, and finding homes for his 13 cats before the guy goes home. I hear he has refused to go to heaven until Andrew finds homes for the cats.

David--LOL, poor Andrew. Actually, my friend Josh told me that you were there for his little sister, so I've only heard of you, but it's nice to actually get to talk to you. Well, sort of anyway.

(Michael enters 'Angelic Promises')

Michael--Inna, time to log out, you've got a test tomorrow.

Tess--Well, Michael, I see you've taken to being a dad, haven't you?

Michael--Yep, do you still have that cool convertible?

Tess--You bet I do, baby.

Christina--I would not even count on Tess parting with that car.

Michael--Who'd blame her? That car's a gem.

David--I've never even seen it. If you happen to pass through where I live, would you take me for a spin?

Tess--Sure would, David.

Michael--Inna, we really have to go, maybe after your test tomorrow, you can come back to the channel and chat some more.

Inna--OK, will some of you guys be here tomorrow night?

Christina--Of course, I'll be here.

Nancy--Maybe next week, I have to get ready, Justin asked me to go with him to his prom and I'm going with him. I'm so excited.

(Michael leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Inna leaves 'Angelic Promises')

David--I guess I'd better get going too, my dad said he'd quiz me on the latest Algebra problems, and I'd better get started before he gets home. I'll see you guys later.

(David leaves 'Angelic Promises')

Christina--I don't even want to remember the prom I attended.

Tess--That was a hard time for you, wasn't it baby?

Christina--Yeah, but I don't want to ruin Nancy's memorable time, and Jeremy should be home soon. I guess I should get going, too. Tess, are you going to be here again sometime soon?

Tess--I wasn't so keen on coming tonight, but I'll tell that Angel Boy and maybe he will come here and chat with you when he's finished with his other duties.

Nancy--Oh Tess, that'd be wonderful. I'll tell Barbara, I'm sure she would be thrilled. But, I do have a question, Christina, what happened at your prom?

Christina--You don't want to know.

Nancy--Sure I do.

Christina--I was raped by my date when I went, but somehow, I think that your prom will be better, and that you'll have all the fun at yours that I didn't at mine.

Nancy--Thanks, but Justin is really one of the sweetest guys in the world, so I think it will go OK. Anyway, I guess I'd better go; I have some things to do before I go to bed. Good night.

Tess--Good night, honey. Take care of yourself.

(Nancy leaves 'Angelic Promises')

Christina--I guess it's just you and me, huh?

Tess--I have to go, you give Laura and Jeremy our love, OK?

Christina--I will, see you soon, Tess.

(Christina leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Tess leaves 'Angelic Promises')

*****

It is now the following evening. Inna has been waiting in the chat room for some time, and now finally after about ten minutes of waiting, someone comes.

(Brenda enters 'Angelic Promises')

Inna--Hi, you're new here, right?

Brenda--Yeah, I was just surfing around and found this place. It reminded me of an old friend of mine, and I thought it would be fun to come here and see who's around.

Inna--Last night we had a pretty lively chat.

(Christina enters 'Angelic Promises')

Christina--Hey, Inna, how did that test go?

Inna--Great, I knew all the answers. I am so happy about it. 

Brenda--Congratulations

Christina--Yeah, that's great news.

Inna--How long was Tess here after I left.

Christina--About ten minutes or so. She's not exactly fond of computers.

Brenda--Tess was here?

Christina--Yeah, she came by because Andrew was busy finding homes for 13 cats.

Brenda--LOL. An Angel of Death looking for homes for cats, now that's pretty funny.

Christina--He had to take someone home who was a huge cat fan. I would hate to be in that guy's family. I have an aunt who had two cats and they really created a stink. I hear that the house is still being fumigated.

Inna--I never had any pets.

(Patty enters 'Angelic Promises')

(Stephanie enters 'Angelic Promises')

(Lindsey enters 'Angelic Promises')

Christina--Hey Lindsey, you made it. How's life in New York?

Lindsey--Music school is going well, but right now, I'm a little homesick.

Brenda--You live in New York. Oh wow, of all the luck. I'm trying to make something of myself as an actress. I actually played an Angel of Death some time ago and it was so much fun. I got coaching from a professional.

Patty--You hear that, Stephy, what we heard was true; they really do know about Andrew, I just knew it.

Stephanie--Yeah, but I thought anyone who spoke of angels got themselves committed.

Inna--Are you kidding, Andrew is one of the sweetest angels on the planet; he was with me when I tried to kill myself some time ago. He held my hand and talked to me, his voice was so sweet.

Stephanie--I know, he did that with me too, about a year ago, when I tried to end my life too.

(Adam enters 'Angelic Promises')

Adam--Hello?

Christina--Hi Adam, welcome to 'Angelic Promises'.

Adam--Tess told me that your brother Bryan had asked about me. She said you were here, Christina, so I thought I'd come in and see how you were doing.

Christina--We're doing great, in fact, did you know my nephew is named after you?

Adam--Andrew told me. I'm flattered.

Inna--Hi Adam, do you remember me?

Adam--Yes, of course. Are you doing better, sweetheart?

Inna--You bet.

Christina--Adam's an angel too, he was with my brother Bryan after he was in an accident, but I haven't seen him since I was ten.

Lindsey--Why haven't you come back, Adam? I'm sure that everyone would welcome you with open arms.

Inna--Don't hold your breath, Lindsey. He was rather grouchy when he met me.

Adam--I was not grouchy.  I was just having a bad day.

Inna--Sorry, but for a long time, I thought you were. I'm glad you're not.

Patty--Why is that?

Inna--He doesn't like suicide. I tried twice, and Adam was the first angel I met.

Stephanie--I guess in a way I can understand that, I mean, when I tried, I somehow felt like I had disappointed God, but now I won't ever try, and besides that, things are going better and my mom is really proud of me.

Patty--Of course, she would have to be, you won the junior division at the regional competition. I didn't even make it to the long program.

Brenda--Long program? What do you guys do?

Patty--We're figure skaters.

Inna--Oh wow, that's so cool.

Adam--Christina, what is it, you're quieter than I thought you'd be?

Christina--I can't forget about Ted Gordon, Adam, I remember when he ended his life, and I couldn't do anything for him.

Stephanie--What happened to him?

Christina--He was one of my patients, and he killed himself.

Brenda--Yeah, but we have free will.

Adam--Brenda's right, Christina.

Christina--Perhaps, but it's not easy.

Lindsey--Remember what Andrew told you after it happened. He was there for you, and he tried to help you deal with this.

Christina--I remember, but it's not easy.

Stephanie--I guess it never really occurred to me that I would have hurt so many people when I did this. I guess now I'm grateful to be alive.

Inna--Sometimes people don't believe that their lives are going anywhere.

Brenda--Or sometimes what they want to do is directly impacted on what other people expect. I mean with me, it was that way, and though I never tried, I was very confused and my pain was pretty intense.

Adam--What changed your mind, Brenda?

Brenda--Easy, I met Andrew and he helped me to realize through this play I was in that my life was worth living. It's a special feeling to know that someone cares.

Christina--I remember when I first met Andrew; I was seven-years-old. He was so kind to me and he even went trick or treating with me. If you can believe that.

Adam--Andrew went with you? I don't believe it.

Lindsey--Believe it, Adam, Christina has her ways of getting what she wants. <G>

Inna--I don't get it.

Adam--Andrew is not the world's biggest Halloween fan, in fact, he hates it. I'm not all that fond of it myself, but at least no one tries to convince me to kill a turkey.

Christina--I would say he doesn't even come close, but he did say that I had my way of getting him into the spirit.

Adam--Just got another call, I have to leave now. Do you have any messages for Andrew?

Inna--Ask him to come by here tomorrow and visit us.

Brenda--We love him.

Stephanie--We love all of God's angels. You too, Adam, even though we've never met.

(Adam leaves 'Angelic Promises')

Christina--So Patty, you guys are figure skaters?

Patty--Yeah, we met Andrew, Tess, and Monica about a year ago, when we were competing in a citywide figure skating competition.

Stephanie--That was when I tried to kill myself. Andrew came to see me and we talked until I woke up from the coma I was in. I remember asking him if God was mad at me.

Inna--I know the feeling, I felt the same way. My family life was pretty messed up. Then I ended up in this chat room and met Michael. He became my foster dad, and since then, I've thanked God for sending Andrew to help both of us. It was weird, but it was also comforting at the same time.

Brenda--You think that's weird, I actually got the role of playing Andrew in a play, and his friendship and this role actually convinced me to not end my life.

Christina--I wish Ted could have done something like that.

Lindsey--You can't feel guilt about it, Christina, you weren't at fault, he made the choice and that was it.

Patty--What happened, Christina?

Christina--Like I said, I'm a child psychologist, and one of my patients killed himself.

Lindsey--He was pretty messed up, Patty.

Stephanie--I get the feeling that you're pretty good friends with Andrew, Christina, is that true?

Lindsey--Yeah, they're pretty close, but Christina's now 30, and she's been friends with Andrew since she was seven. I mean that's a long time to know someone. I'm only 20 and I've known him since I was 12. He helped me when my dad was drinking and sometimes when he's in New York, he comes by to say hello.

Inna--Somehow I can relate about the addiction thing, I mean, as far as I know, my brothers and sisters are still pretty actively doing drugs.

Brenda--Maybe it sounds weird, but we're all pretty young women, I'm 21 now, and I've noticed that Andrew has left a pretty powerful impact on all of us. He's given us the courage to make the most of what life gives, and when you think about it, that's pretty special.

Lindsey--I remember when he held me when I was 12, it was like I was the only person there, and the pain wasn't so bad as long as I knew that he was there to help me.

Stephanie--I somehow can recall when I was in that bed at the hospital, and how he was with me the entire time, and how he would talk to me and it was as though I was the only person that mattered to him. He cared so much and that was so strange to experience.

Inna--Yeah, and he assured me all the time that God loves me, even though I made the biggest mistake in the world.

Christina--Let's face it, for knowing Andrew, we're just better people.

Brenda--He made me believe that I could do anything I set my mind and heart to. During the time I knew him, he actually taught me how to comfort someone who is dying. It was touching and inspiring at the same time. It was also the greatest honor for me.

(David enters 'Angelic Promises')

David--Hello everyone.

Christina--Hello, David, nice to see you again.

David--So what's the topic?

Inna--We've been talking about how Andrew has comforted us during difficult times.

Lindsey--It's so true, I mean I cannot forget how when my grandma died, Andrew was there

and he talked to me. Even though he was the one who took my grandma home, he wanted me to understand why it happened, and he was worried that he had hurt me.

David--It's true, I mean he was there for me when my grandfather died. He tried to explain death to me, and though it was hard, I realized how special it was that he helped me get through that.

Brenda--You know, we can't forget Monica and Tess. I mean, Monica is so sweet, and kind. And Tess is one of the wisest women I have ever known in my life.

Inna--I'm not doubting that, but I'm afraid I never got to meet them. My foster father Michael did, and he said the same.

Patty--Monica was really great, after Stephy tried to end her life, Monica came and talked with me about it. It helped me deal with everything so much and she made me realize that I was special. There was a wisdom about her that was so extraordinary.

(YvaJ enters 'Angelic Promises')

YvaJ--Hi sorry I had to leave so suddenly yesterday.

Christina--No problem, YvaJ, but when you left, you missed out on getting to speak with Tess.

Lindsey--Not to mention Adam was also here earlier. You've really missed out.

YvaJ--I've always been a bit slow on the go, how are you guys doing?

Brenda--Pretty good.

Inna--I have to go, Michael is home and I have to help him get things ready for dinner. If you see Andrew, email me, OK and I'll come online.

YvaJ--Will do.

(Inna leaves 'Angelic Promises')

David--Josh told me that he talked to Monica at school, but I never really met her.

Christina--Tess and Monica are really nice.

Stephanie--I vaguely remember this, but the conversations were so short, and I didn't know they were angels until after they had left. Patty had told me.

Brenda--Yeah, I know what you mean, Stephanie, when I discovered it, it was because Andrew had told me about it. It was a pretty major deal for me too.

YvaJ--You're very lucky, all of you, I've yet to meet any of them. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be.

Lindsey--It's a really wonderful experience, YvaJ, and I know that you will one day meet up with them. They are so special.

David--To be able to actually tell someone who doesn't understand how it feels to deal with grief, I would say it's a lot more than just special.

Stephanie--Patty we have to go, we have training and Gilda and Jake would kill us if we're late. Hope to see you guys again soon.

Patty--Yeah, you're right, we'll be back again sometime.

YvaJ--Good luck with your skating, you two.

Brenda--Yeah break a leg.

Lindsey--Hey, Brenda, don't ever tell a skater that, they might just go out and do it. <G>

Christina-- LOL, that's funny. Good luck you guys.

Stephanie--You guys are too much, but we get the general idea. Thanks.

(Stephanie leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Patty leaves 'Angelic Promises')

David--Is it just me or am I the only guy that Andrew has helped?

Brenda--Probably not.

Christina--He's helped other guys I'm almost certain of it.

(Leonard enters 'Angelic Promises')

Leonard--Hey I heard there were a few angels around here. Is that the truth?

David--Finally. Uh yeah, we've been talking about it for a while now.

Leonard--My kid sister said that Andrew was showing up online.

Christina--Not exactly, but Tess and Adam were here, and I figure that they would eventually show up again.

Leonard--That's good to know, because I never really got the chance to thank them for all they did for us.

YvaJ--I'm pretty much the outsider here, so I'll chat with you guys later. Enjoy your time.

(YvaJ leaves 'Angelic Promises')

Brenda--Poor YvaJ, I bet she really feels left out of the loop.

Leonard--Yeah, I guess she does. Anyway, I thought it would be kind of nice to actually meet them here. Kathleen, my younger sister said that she heard a rumor that there was something in this channel and said I should check it out.

Christina--I guess I'd better get going; Jeremy should be home soon. I'll talk to you guys later.

(Christina leaves 'Angelic Promises')

David--I guess I'd better get going too, it's late, here and my dad and I are going out to dinner tonight and I just heard him coming in.

Brenda--Have a good time, David.

David--Thanks you guys have a good weekend.

(David leaves 'Angelic Promises')

Leonard--I guess I'd better get going too. Brenda, it was a pleasure, and Lindsey, I'll see you guys online some time. Take care of yourselves.

Lindsey--No problem, I guess I will see you around, then.

Brenda--Yeah, it was nice meeting you too, Leonard.

(Leonard leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Andrew enters 'Angelic Promises')

Brenda--Andrew? Is that really you? Or are you just someone with the same name as our favorite Angel of Death?

Andrew--Yes, Brenda, it's me.

Lindsey--I guess I should email Inna, then.

Andrew--I'm exhausted. I finally found homes for all of Mr. William's cats and can't stay too long, but I wanted to come in and say hello.

Lindsey--LOL, I heard about that story with the cats. I guess that guy's house stinks to high heaven, huh?

Andrew--Yes, it does, but thankfully I am not in charge of the renovating. My job is pretty much over.

Brenda--Hi, Andrew, we had a whole crowd of people here all of them were asking about you and were hoping that you would be coming by. Patty and Stephanie were here, and then Christina, Inna, Leonard, David, and this woman named YvaJ.

Andrew--All those names sound familiar except the last one. Who is YvaJ?

Lindsey--A poor soul who never had the chance to meet you, I would guess.

Andrew--Tess told me that she had come by last night to visit, and then Adam told me he had been here earlier today, but now there are just three of us. Where did they all go?

Lindsey--I'm guessing that Christina had to fix dinner for Jeremy. Patty and Stephanie had training, and David said he had to get ready to go to dinner with his dad. I think YvaJ felt badly about being out of the loop.

Brenda--Yeah, and I think Leonard was a bit disappointed that there wasn't so much going on. But, actually, I'm glad you're here, because I've missed you so much, Andrew, I think about you a lot.

Andrew--Did you ever find your gift, Brenda?

Brenda--Yes, and thank you so much. Zoe said that it was the most beautiful bracelet she had ever laid eyes on.

Lindsey--Andrew, you sure know how to give us girls some memories. Everyone in here was talking about how much of an impact you left him or her with. There's no question, we're deeply blessed by you.

Andrew--Thank you, Lindsey, but I really have to go now, I'll try and come by tomorrow.

Brenda--I'll be back tomorrow, then. I love you, my friend.

Andrew--I love you both, too. See you later.

(Andrew leaves 'Angelic Promises')

Brenda--I'll be back tomorrow, no question, and you?

Lindsey--You know it.

(Brenda leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Lindsey leaves 'Angelic Promises')

*****

The following evening, YvaJ had come into the chat room and is waiting alone. After about 20 minutes, someone finally arrives.

(Andrew enters 'Angelic Promises')

Andrew--So you're the famous YvaJ I've heard so much about.

YvaJ--Hi, I guess the others thought I was a bit of a pain, huh?

Andrew--No, actually when I talked to Lindsey and Brenda last night, they said that you felt a little bit left out of the loop.

YvaJ--I guess I do, everyone in this group seems to know you, and I don't, maybe I don't belong here at all.

Andrew--Don't ever believe it, YvaJ. Sometimes a friend is just someone you haven't met yet. That happens a lot and believe me, a friendship is something extremely special.

YvaJ--I know you're right, but still…

Andrew--No buts here, I know for a fact that the only thing these people have in common is that they were once assignments I've had, but what connects you to them is that you believe in the love of God and what he tries to teach His children. Perhaps that is the encouragement that you should get in coming here.

YvaJ--You're right, but I would love to meet you, not just see your words on a computer screen. It's obvious that you have helped these people here.

Andrew--I've heard that you've helped people too, and that God is proud of your work as well, so never ever underestimate yourself.

(Nancy enters 'Angelic Promises')

Nancy--Andrew, I don't believe it, you're actually here. How are you?

Andrew--Hi Nancy, how's everything at Hudson High?

Nancy--Mrs. Norton made me the mascot. I'm dressed as an angel every Friday night for the baseball games.

YvaJ--Really? That sounds like so much fun.

Andrew--Yes, that does sound like fun. How is Barbara?

Nancy--She's doing well, but she's so busy getting ready for graduation.

Andrew--I'm glad things are going well. How is your friend Justin doing?

Nancy--He still misses Melanie, but he's doing better. We went to his prom last night and it was so much fun. That's why I wasn't in the chat room last night. I was kind of busy.

YvaJ--I remember my prom, it was a nightmare. I went with the biggest creep this side of the Mississippi.

Andrew--What happened?

YvaJ--He made a bet with another girl I knew as to how long it would take me to ask him to come with me to my prom. I almost cancelled going to the prom because he was so unkind to me.

Nancy--Makes me glad that I went with Justin. 

Andrew--I'm sorry it didn't go very well for you, YvaJ, but I'm glad to hear that you had fun, Nancy.

Nancy--Oh Andrew, I wanted to tell you that the documentary we filmed when you were here has been picked up by a state run television station and they are going to do a lot of work with us on Anorexia awareness. It's a great opportunity.

Andrew--That's wonderful news. Nancy's been working since her friend Melanie died from Anorexia to make her community aware of what has been going on. She's really put a lot of heart and soul into this.

Nancy--It was a lot of work, but you helped, so you should not forget.

YvaJ--Somehow I get the impression that Andrew is the type who would forget to take the credit for the wonderful things he does. 

Nancy--You see; you do inspire us mere mortals.

YvaJ--How many shades of red are you now, Andrew???

Andrew--No comment.

(Brenda enters 'Angelic Promises')

Brenda--Hi everyone.

Andrew--Thanks Brenda, you just saved me from a very embarrassing line of questions.

Brenda--I always knew when I should enter the scene. 

YvaJ--Chicken. I never thought an angel from God would be part chicken.

Nancy--ROTFL!!

(Leonard enters 'Angel Promises')

(David enters 'Angel Promises')

Leonard--Hey, Andrew, what a surprise. Hello ladies.

David--Yeah, hi Andrew. I told my dad about this chat room and he said that if I see you here, that I should tell you hi from him.

Brenda--Hi Leonard, hello David.

(Inna enters 'Angelic Promises')

(Kathleen enters 'Angelic Promises')

Kathleen--Andrew! Oh wow, you're really here. You're not afraid of hearing my name are you?

Andrew--No of course not. How are you, my friend?

Inna--Hi Andrew. Long time no see. How come I haven't seen you in this channel?

Andrew--There's a reason, I was trying to give 13 cats a new home.

David--I heard about that. LOL.

YvaJ--I guess I should let you guys catch up, but I appreciate the chat, Andrew. Thanks for everything.

Andrew--Take care of yourself, Yvette.

YvaJ--How'd you know that's my real name?

Andrew--Easy, I know about you, and I know that you're a good person. Hold onto those feelings, and one day, we'll meet.

YvaJ--I'm counting on that, Andrew. Take care everyone, and much love.

(YvaJ leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Christina enters 'Angelic Promises')

(Lindsey enters 'Angelic Promises'

(Monica enters 'Angelic Promises')

Monica--Am I doing this right?

Leonard--You must have, the computer hasn't started to evaporate.

Kathleen--Oh don't mind him, he's working to develop his sense of humor.

Lindsey--Sounds like my kind of guy. 

Brenda--Hi Monica, nice to *see* you again.

Monica--How's the acting going Brenda?

Brenda--Pretty good, I have an audition tomorrow. Hey Andrew, are you game to play opposite of me again?

Andrew--It's fun, but I'm going to have to pass, I need to get over the cat-astrope that I just survived.

Kathleen--Poor Andrew, that's horrible.

Lindsey--Yeah, wait till I tell Bryan and Rachel about that.

Christina--I think it's pretty priceless.

David--I heard dogs were worse.

Andrew--I don't know, maybe it was the numbers and not the fact that there were cats. Hard to say, but they have all a new home, and I…

Lindsey--Let me guess, you feel like death warmed over?

Brenda--LOL.

Andrew--Oh please…

Inna--Don't worry, Andrew, you're the most handsome angel I've ever seen. OK, you're the only angel I've ever seen, but I love you so much, and I would never say such a thing to hurt you.

Nancy--I second that emotion, especially about the 'handsome' part. 

Andrew--Thank you, Inna, and you too Nancy.

Christina--Don't take Lindsey too seriously, Inna, she's a bit crackers. Andrew is pretty much accustomed to our way out sense of humor. He must be; I mean he gets along with Jeremy.

Monica--He is, believe me.

(Patty enters 'Angelic Promises')

(Stephanie enters 'Angelic Promises')

Patty--Hello everyone.

Stephanie--Yeah, hi.

Andrew--Hello girls.

Stephanie--Hi Andrew, I didn't know we'd see you here. Not that I'm complaining. My mom says hi. She said that we should tell you that if we happen to see you again.

Patty--Yeah, no kidding. Hi Monica.

Monica--Hello Patty.

Leonard--Well, I'm out of here, it's been great and it's been fun, and now it's bordering on hysterical. Hey Lindsey, message me sometime; it's been a blast.

(Leonard leaves 'Angelic Promises')

David--I guess I'd better get going too, I have to do some homework. Andrew, if you're around our neighborhood again, please stop by. This time, I think the sunrise would be better. I'm no longer sick.

Andrew--OK, David, and tell your friend Sandra hello for me. I've been thinking about you guys a lot lately.

David--I will, take care.

(David leaves 'Angelic Promises')

Brenda--Hey listen, I think we should get together more often and chat.

Nancy--Yes, that would be awesome.

Kathleen--I'd love it.

Inna--I think so too. It makes a difference to know that there are other people out there with the same problems and hang-ups.

Patty--I agree. Friendships like these are a gift from God, and maybe it's nice to compare notes and to get to know each other better.

Christina--I always knew that you make a difference to so many, Andrew. You do as well, Monica. I'm so blessed in knowing you both.

Monica--That's so nice, but Tess is waiting for me, so I have to go.

Brenda--Take care, Monica, we love you.

Monica--And I love you.

(Monica leaves 'Angelic Promises')

Patty--I guess we have to go; our coaches want to meet us tonight so we can discuss the new training schedule. We love you all, and one day we'll meet face to face.

Stephanie--Yeah, and when we're famous, then we'll send you tickets to the show as well as backstage passes.

Inna--Awesome, I'd love it.

Lindsey--I think we all would.

Andrew--I would be there to see you two skate.

Patty--Just don't put Andrew on skates, he's the wipeout king, but we love you just as you are.

Stephanie--For everything that you are. Take care.

Brenda--Nobody's perfect, but you're a heck of an acting coach, not to mention an awesome angel.  I guess I'd better go; I have some lines to learn for tomorrow's audition. Love you all, it's nice to have a great place to chat.

Kathleen--I should go too, but I don't want to. A good friend like you is hard to find.

Andrew--As is the case with you. Take care of yourself, Kathleen.

(Patty leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Stephanie leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Brenda leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Kathleen leaves 'Angelic Promises')

Inna--I guess I should go too. Come back to Salt Lake City, Andrew. I want to see you when things are going well, not just when things are bad.

Andrew--You never know, sweetheart.

Inna--That's what makes life such a wonderful surprise.

Nancy--A-men.  I have to go too, take care everyone, and I'll see you again sometime.

(Inna leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Nancy leaves 'Angelic Promises')

Lindsey--I hope we see you again, sometime soon, Andrew.

Andrew--You never know.

Christina--That's what makes life such a wonderful adventure.

Andrew--Take care of each other, Christina, Lindsey. You two are very special friends, and you will always hold a special place in my heart.

Christina--Laura sends her love.

Andrew--As do I.

(Andrew leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Christina leaves 'Angelic Promises')

(Lindsey leaves 'Angelic Promises')

The End! 
