Later that evening, after "The Journalist" viewing...

Lady JenniAnn begins to straighten up the living room after Jess O'Neill, Lady Beth, and Andrew leave.  She's just fluffing up the last pillow when she hears footsteps in the hall.  Andrew, looking paranoid, re-enters the room.

LJA: ::walking towards him and hugging him::  I'm glad you came back.

Andrew:  Of course I came back.  Tonight's the night.

LJA: ::sighing happily::  Yes...

Andrew: ::stepping back into the hallway and looking about nervously::  You're sure no one else is around?

LJA:  ::now sighing in a slightly agitated manner::  I'm sure.  Don't worry so much.  Besides, I don't see why we can't just tell people what we're up to.

Andrew:  They wouldn't understand.  No one would expect it of me.

LJA: And they would of me??

Andrew:  ::raises his eye brow::  You do have a kind of sappy, romantic, emotional reputation.  All good things, by the way.  But I don't think *this* would surprise people.

LJA: ::laughs::  I suppose you're right.

Andrew:  ::sits down on the couch::  So where did we leave off last time we met like this?

LJA:  Wedding plans.

Andrew:  Right!  So remind me again...

As the two people in the TV room begin to talk animatedly, they are unaware that someone has just entered the hallway nearby.  Tess.  She hears Andrew's voice and her ears perk up.  She's just about to call for her Angel Boy when she hears...

Andrew: I can't believe there's not going to be a wedding!  After we've waited this long!

LJA:  Well, let's just wait and see.  Things might improve.  I mean we know this wedding is going to happen.  It's pretty obvious.  Especially knowing about the baby like we do...

Tess begins to shake in the hallway.  This overheard conversation is making her very, very uneasy.  Lady JenniAnn...  Andrew...  Wedding... Baby...  The supervisor angel is just about to rush into the room screaming and crying when she pauses to listen just for a moment more.

LJA:  Good gosh, Andrew!  I would sooo have never recommended "Little House on the Prairie" as a good emotional release for you if I'd have known you'd get so wrapped up in it.  I mean... Crikey...  Let's just put in the 7th Season DVD set so you can see Laura and Almanzo's wedding and stop freaking out.  But believe me, they do get married.  How do you suppose she ends up as Laura Ingalls Wilder???  And I told you Laura has a baby eventually.  The baby's gotta come from somewhere.

Andrew: ::laughing::  You're right.  I'm just a little concerned because Almanzo didn't want Laura to take that teaching job but she did and I guess I was worried he might get so mad he wouldn't marry her.  Let's just sit and watch the show.  Do you have the Kleenex?  ::blushes::

LJA: Of course.  ::hands him a box and plops down on the couch, too::  Ya know, you don't need to be embarrassed about having a weekly "cry show."  Lots of people have them.

Andrew: Really?  Do you?

LJA: ::grins::  Of course, it's called "Touched by an Angel."

Andrew chuckles and presses the Play button and the room is soon silent save the oh-so-familiar strains of the "Little House" theme.

Out in the hallway, Tess stifles a laugh.  And she vows to herself she will never, ever eavesdrop again!

The End

Yeah, I have a kinda warped sense of humor.  I just love misunderstood overheard conversations.  And the idea of Andrew having a weekly cry show.  And I really just didn't have much time for this week's easter egg so this was the best I could, I'm afraid.  I hope it gave you a chuckle.  :-)

God bless,
Jenni
