A CD Recommendation from Yvette

Performer name:  The Corrs

CD Title:  Borrowed Heaven  & The Best of the Corrs

Genre(s):  Pop

Your own words on why you're recommending this CD:  This group hails from Ireland and consist of three sisters and a brother.  They write their own music and are really quite good.  I love a great many of their recordings, the CD ‘Borrowed Heaven’ has some of their lesser known songs, but they are really extraordinary tracks.  ‘Angel’ is a really a wonderful song, although not depicting of the TBAA universe, but still a really great song to listen to.  I often find myself enjoying the lesser known songs, and I really like the song ‘Hideaway’, because the lyrics:  ‘Don’t hideaway, ‘cause I know that you’ve got what it takes, I believe you can be what you wanna be.’  A great message and an ideal for people to take into consideration.  Sometimes having a positive nudge can come through music, and the Corrs are really showing this with that particular song.  As for the greatest hits, I have a number of favorites on this CD, specifically ‘Runaway’, ‘Love to Love You’, ‘Would You Be Happier’, and ‘Everybody Hurts’.  It’s a really wonderful mix of popular styles, but also a demonstration that there are still artists out there who really know how to make a mark with their own work.  Fantastic lyrics, great instrumentals and lots of good feelings.
