A CD Recommendation from Yvette

Performer name:
Michael Bublé

CD Title:
Michael Bublé

Genre(s):  Jazz

Your own words on why you're recommending this CD:
Aside from the fact that David Foster produces his work, that should be enough reason for my liking his music.  Of course, although his newest release was just added to my music library last weekend, I haven’t really heard it enough times to recommend it yet, although I did like what I’ve heard thus far.  I will openly admit that every time I watch ‘Two Week’s Notice’ with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant, I hear Michael’s crooning of ‘Come Fly With Me’ in that film, which instantly puts me in a wonderful mood.  Perhaps I’m partial to it because I am married to a private pilot, but there is something really grand about that song.  It is no question that the soothing sounds of Michael’s vocals and his ability to present songs is really remarkable.  Although I will be the first to say that I am not a huge fan of Jazz, and this review is probably not typical of most Jazz fans or their preferences, I’m just recommending it because of the ‘feel good’ aspects of it.   It’s a great CD to listen to on a rainy afternoon.  There is something very catchy and soothing to his renditions and melodies.  Not to mention his version of ‘Moondance’ just gets under my skin (in a good way) and stays there.  It’s a toe-tapping good time CD with a lot of jazzy instrumentals that just puts me in the mood to dance.  At the same time, ‘Kissing a Fool’ is a great track to play when trying to create a romantic atmosphere.  Overall an interesting blend of old melodies and new styles.
