Your own words on why you're recommending this CD:
Why I am recommending it: This is probably one of my favorite groups at present. The soothing melodies of the covers they perform are really special and they can turn people on to the original tracks as well, which is a nice thing for a group that does covers to be able to do.  I have bought more CDs because of my liking the arrangements here, so there is something to be said for it. At the same time, it is really hard to determine what CD I would recommend first simply because most of the songs are wonderful.  I want to say that although this genre is really different from probably anything you will ever hear, the music is really moving.  My favorite tracks on the first CD are:  ‘Scarborough Fair’, ‘Tears in Heaven’, ‘Nothing Else Matters’, ‘The Sound of Silence’, and ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’.  The fact that a group can do songs that were originally done by groups like Metallica and then shift gears and sing old Simon and Garfunkel standards is a virtual mindblower.  Aside from the fact that this group has been promoted by Frank Peterson (who also produces the music for Sarah Brightman) shows the intricacy of musical styles that are involved in the various projects he has done.  It is to date the most successful Gregorian Pop group, although there have been a lot of off-shoots since their first CD was released.

On the other CDs, the listings are generally called ‘volumes’ or ‘chapters’, you can get some wonderful songs as well.  My favorites from

Volume 2: ‘Hymn’, ‘Heaven Can Wait’ and ‘Stairway to Heaven’.

Volume 3: ‘Be’, ‘Sacrifice’ and ‘Only You’ (one of my all time favorites CDs by them.)

Volume 4: ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘Imagine’, and ‘Heaven is a Place on Earth’.

The Dark Side: ‘My Immortal’, ‘Hurt’, and ‘Close My Eyes Forever’.  They also have a Christmas CD out and all of these can be found on Amazon.com.
